Hommage to Bill Brandt
This strand of my creative output originates in Bill Brandt's nudes. With a 1931 Kodak camera used by the London police to record crime scenes, Brandt developed a quasi-surreal style, taking advantage of an ultra-wide angle lens. His nudes remind us of the works of Man Ray, Picasso and Matisse and perhaps the sculpture of Henry Moore.
Trapped
Trapped within the core of a house, unable to enter any room, this is all she has known. There is no present, yesterday might lie to the future just as tomorrow rests in the past.
